Team,
A message from our President Mr Gerry Lawson, I played in this fixture
and remember the feeling like it was yesterday, and totally agree with
Gerry, go and do it boys!

Over twenty years ago when we had the use of the pitch to the left
hand side of the club, Sheppey entertained Sittingbourne in a league
match. They at the time were top of the league and we were very close
to the bottom, I had been playing away at Sittingbourne in one of the
lower teams, and as I returned to the club the match had just ended.
Sheppey look elated and Sittingbourne looked rejected. A smiling Ronnie
Carpenter came running over to me and shouted out we won we won one
try to nil and I got the bugger 5 minutes from full time. We all know
what effort Ronne puts in to be part of the club every Saturday, and
if every individual member of the first team contributes as much
effort as Ronne has and still continues to do, we will be unbeatable
Saturday. Let’s do it lads for the team, for the club, and for the
likes of Ronnie.
