It is with much sadness that I have to report the passing of Dave Neal on Sunday 29th January after a lengthy illness. It is impossible to overstate the contribution that Dave has made to Sheppey RFC over many, many years. He served the club in a variety of capacities, including Club Captain and Chairman. On and off the field, Dave was a true ambassador for the Club and a really nice guy who will be sorely missed by us all.
It was Dave’s dedication and determination that kept the Club going particularly through some of the Club’s more difficult and darker days. As a man he was hugely respected by friends from within the Club as well as from many other Clubs and the wider County community, all of whom will be sad at his passing.
At this time our thoughts and prayers are very much with his wife, Lin, and his two sons, Roger and Peter and their families.
God Bless you, Dave.

Neil Golding on behalf of all your friends at Sheppey RFC and the world of rugby.
