It is with deep sadness that I have to report the news that Frank Kelly passed away early this morning. Frank was a staunch supporter of our club and served as Chairman in recent years. In his association with Sheppey RFC, he was a friend of many of us and will be sorely missed.
Our thoughts are with wife, Dee (herself a popular and dedicated committee member and stalwart of the Club) and their sons, John and David, both of whom play senior rugby for us. The Club has expressed its sympathy to the family and we would ask that club members respect the family's privacy at this sad time. We will of course respond in the appropriate manner at the right time.
Sad occasions such as this have a unifying effect on clubs such as ours and I would ask all involved with Sheppey RFC to have Dee and the boys very much in their thoughts.
As a rugby club, we are a family and Frank was a highly regarded and much respected member of ours. It is our role now to support Dee, John and David.

Neil Golding (Chairman)

N.b.
Frank/Dads funeral is being held at the Garden of England Crematorium, Bobbing at 3pm on Tuesday 26th January.
The Kelly family would like to invite all involved at the rugby club to the funeral, and if possible, for all members to wear their club ties. The 'wake' will be held at Sheppey Rugby Club from 4pm onwards after the service.
Thank you
John, Dee and Dave
