The Sheppey tourists who travelled to Southampton lost in the semi-final of the Southampton 10s tournement.

Sheppey started out the group stages of the competition with a 12-10 defeat against Ellingham and Ringwood RFC, a good result considering the tired and fuzzy heads of the players after sampling Southampton culture the night before.

The tourists were starting to feel a bit more human now and a solid win against Kingsclere RFC proved this, the following game was against hosts Southampton and another convincing win meant that a placed in the cup semi-final had been secured.

The semi-final was a step to far for the tourists after a heavy defeat at the hands of marlwood dolphins, a regimental team that consisted of a number of representative players!

A big thanks to Southampton RFC for the invite, all of the lads enjoyed it and the hospitality recieved was exceptional.
