The application made to the Sports Directory UK Small Grant Scheme via KCC has been unsuccessful this year. This was intended to provide at least 50% of the funding needed for new training equipment, not least a new scrum machine. The bid was welcomed but rejected as unfortunately they had received a record number of bids this year.
The project will continue and we will be looking for other funding sources and we will undoubtedly make another application again next year.
