Last week the Kent Society of Rugby Football Union Referees announced the winners of this years Whistler trophy.  Each year this trophy is awarded to the most hospitable club and is voted by the referees.

Unfortunately we did not win, but I am pleased to announce that we did come a very creditable second place.  Congratulationns to Dartford Valley who were worthy winners.

So clearly we are on the right track, but we need to do more.  Without the referees giving us their time we have no sport and it is important that they are always made to feel welcome.

So onwards and upwards, if we get to play a game hopefully we can win the trophy next year.
